Philadelphia, PA – August 18, 2020 – Pregnancy is a life-changing experience and calls for some extra tender love and care. In that light, Philadelphia-based Coco Bump is offering support boxes for both expecting and new Black moms, and also those moms who have suffered a loss. Packed with gifts and resources, these Coco Bump boxes are aimed to help women relax and feel at ease as they journey through their maternal experiences.

Founded in 2019, Coco Bump is driven by the mission to celebrate both pregnant and new moms. The company is dedicated to ensuring the wellness of Black women during each phase of pregnancy and postpartum and also in times of sorrow.

“Black women have the highest rates for maternal mortality and Postpartum Depression. One of the most crucial ways to overcome this challenge is to offer little bit of extra support to both expecting and new moms so they feel healthier, more relaxed and are able to recover more effectively. This is where our Coco Bump boxes come in. We have packed them with care and with various essentials a new or expecting mom might need to feel pampered, happy and stress-free when they are the most vulnerable”, stated Alexia Doumbouya, the dynamic Black woman behind Coco Bump. She is supported by some amazing women; including her 3 project team members, Jasmine Dennison, EricaLynn Cotton and Tei Pearson.

Cocobump.com is bustling with a wide variety of Coco Bump boxes to choose from. There are separate boxes for all trimesters, including the 4th trimester (post-delivery). All boxes are designed according to the specific needs of each trimester. Gifts inside the boxes range from beauty care goodies to a BPA-free water bottle to essential oils for relaxation to jewelries to masks, and so on.
