Brussels – 27 August, 2020 – 76% of industry revenue now digital, 3% overall growth in EU revenue and 51% of Europeans playing games. ISFE’s annual update on Europe’s video games industry reveals a series of insightful facts.
ISFE’s Chairman, Olaf Coenen, said:
“This will be a year none of us will forget and our 2020 report will no doubt tell an unusual story. 2019 saw our sector continue to play a considerable part in Europe’s digital success, largely due to its creative talent and capacity for innovation with digital sales representing 76 % of the revenue in key European markets. The 2019 data also illustrates the diversity of our audience with women representing 45% of Europe’s video game players.”
