Jennifer Harrup seems to have found a way back to her root after almost a decade of delivering some of the best wedding experiences in Houston as she launches a home decorating blog and website. The popular Houston wedding planner holds a BS degree in Interior Design and Art from Stephen F. Austin State University and recently started Jennifer Laura Living to share her knowledge with the rest of the world.
“I have an interior design and art degree, but I’ve been wedding planning for the last 8 years. After planning my own wedding 9 years ago I dove into a business I knew I could build and be good at, but for the last few years my first passion of interior design kept eating away at me- I’m so excited to take the plunge and return to my original passion of interior design!” said Jennifer Harrup.
The importance of interior designers cannot be overemphasized as they help to keep living spaces clutter-free, beautiful, yet still fully functional. “I am passionate about sharing my own home’s transformation, but also giving insight into the interior design process from a professional’s point of view- I want to share how you can design your own home while making it look like it was done by an interior designer. Regardless of what kind of budget you are working with,” said Jennifer Harrup.
Jennifer aims to share applicable tips, ideas, and insight on how to style homes with DIY improvements, focusing on her personal style – ‘Grandmillenial style.’ The style offers a traditional design with a twist- blending elements of classic design like toile, french antiques, and ornate molding with modern elements to keep the style looking current.
