From Boston to Los Angeles, Bali to Tulum, nomadic yogi, Nina Hayes is dedicated to providing others with the tools and experiences to cultivate a magical life. She is the founder of Nina Hayes Mission, a plant-based chef, advanced certified yoga instructor, conscious event curator, and yoga teacher trainer.
“Amid a chaotic, tumultuous year, the magical and healing benefits of yoga practice have never been more necessary,” says Hayes. Many years ago, she was battling a mysterious intestinal disease, and having undergone 20+ surgeries, Hayes was uncertain what the future held, or if she even had a future. In this darkest hour, yoga and meditation gave her the strength and purpose to keep going.
Today, Nina Hayesstrives to bring the same practices that saved her life, to the lives of others. According to Hayes, “The world needs more compassionate yogis with training in yoga’s rich history, physical practices, and spiritual benefits.”
When the pandemicaltered the worldin early 2020, the majority of in-person yoga practice and training was suspended. Nevertheless, the need for yoga has never been greater. Determined to make a difference, Hayes developed the Darshan Yoga Teacher Training Academy. The program provides aspiring yoga teachers around the world with the tools and training to become a certified 200-hour yoga teacher, all from the comfort and safety of their homes.

The Darshan Yoga Teacher Training is entirely virtual, formatted to include pre-recorded modules, group meetings, practice teaching, and one-on-one zoom sessions with Nina. Not everyone has the time or resources to attend an in-person training within a yoga studio. An online training program allows for greater flexibility to accommodate work schedules, parenting, etc. Furthermore, online training is more economically feasible than a traditional in-person or residential option because accommodation and transportation expenses are not a factor.
Unlike other yoga teacher training programs that are focused primarily on yoga for fitness, Darshan Yoga Teacher Training incorporates yoga postures, meditation, breathing practices, scriptural teachings, and somatic healing modalities that will allow graduates to teach from a place of authenticity and deep understanding. “I created this online 200-hour training to provide you with the theory and confidence to teach while nurturing your capacity to embody a yogic lifestyle,” shares Hayes. This 10-week program will kick off in early 2021.
