Introducing Kingofbounce, a New Orleans Rapper with a unique style of rap called 'New Orleans Bounce', a fusion of famous triggerman beat and musical samples.

Kingofbounce is a contemporary New Orleans Rapper who is carving a niche for himself with his unique style of rap called New Orleans Bounce, spun from the local flavors of music. It’s a style replete with energy and a fusion of famous triggerman beat and musical samples. His style, indigenous to New Orleans, local and stylized, has set out on its journey to worldwide recognition.

Kingofbounce made his debut in the music landscape when he performed in hopping urban radio station, q93 radio, in a local rap competition called the 9’oclock props with DJ Wild Wayne. The DJ, Wayne, one of among the gifted Disc Jockeys of the radio station, hosts his shows every weekday between two and seven at noon. Getting the platform to perform at the afternoon peak listening hours of the show was the catalyst that propelled his career to a healthy start.

Kingofbounce would get a more significant boost when Master P picked interest in his work and had one of his songs appear on his Platinum download album, Down South Hustlers. The compilation album dropped in 1995, a premier release for the record company at the time, giving Kingofbounce the platform to spread his music to a broader audience. It’s a move which the rapper and philanthropist is still grateful for.

Kingofbounce released his own CD titled ‘Me N Ma Dawgs’ five years later in the year 2000. It sold over 30,000 copies, which he considered a pretty good sale for his first solo release. He had some boosts from working with other artists, of course, but managing to sell so many copies on his own talents truly showed just how far his career had come in so relatively short a time.

Since then, Kingofbounce has performed in sold-out shows in New Orleans, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Gulfport, Montgomery Alabama, Houston, Texas, and Miami, Florida. Though still a regional artist in the eyes of some, digital distribution means that he has a potential audience the size of the entire world. Granted, just like other artists, his spin on urban music may not appeal to all. Still, considering the sales of his CD and success of his tours outside of New Orleans, it seems pretty clear that kingofbounce’s appeal is far more than just a local or even regional artist.

His Instagram is @kingofbounce, which is a great way to get a good feel for him and his music. It’s also an excellent way to keep tabs on his new upcoming CD, which he just finished revising and look forward to releasing. He may not be able to perform much these days, but his CD’s and music can still be heard by everyone who wants to listen. His high energy music is perfect for getting into the groove with whatever one is doing, and the success of his career so far shows well how good that music is.
