Pleasanton Unified School District invests in standalone air purifiers
The purifying machines will be distributed among the district’s 15 schools

PLEASANTON, Calif. – Pleasanton Unified School District, located in Alameda County, northern California, invested in 800 standalone EnviroKlenz® Air Purifiers in its efforts to safely reopen its schools.

The district is a mid-sized K-12 school district, with approximately 15,000 students enrolled. The 15 schools in the district are divided between two comprehensive high schools, one alternative high school, three middle schools, and nine elementary schools that serve Pleasanton’s community of 80,000 citizens.

The Pleasanton district awarded (award number: Bid 2020-21.11 Air Purifiers) EnviroKlenz®, an indoor air quality company located in Bonita Springs, Fla., early-December. The company has been in the market for over a decade and provides safe, effective and tested indoor air quality solutions. EnviroKlenz® met the standard requirements imposed by the district, and was chosen to provide 800 EnviroKlenz® Air Systems Plus to the classrooms.

The standalone air system has a simple and safe setup and does not require any modification to the buildings. Its filtration process contains an Air Cartridge equipped with the EnviroKlenz® technology, a medical-grade HEPA filter and UV-C lights. Through third-party testing, the air purifier shows greater efficacy than most standard multi-stage filtration air systems. The EnviroKlenz Vice President of Operations, George Negron, stated:

“People are now more aware of their indoor air quality than ever, so we are happy to see districts like Pleasanton valuing indoor air quality as much as we do. The EnviroKlenz® Air System Plus has a multi-stage filtration process that is efficient in virus and bacteria removal, and provides results superior to the standard requirements.”

The EnviroKlenz® Air System Plus is also currently implemented at the Washington District Public Schools, Chicago Public Schools, West Orange School District, and others.

The portable air purifiers have been delivered to Pleasanton district and are ready to be distributed among the facilities. For more information, please visit EnviroKlenz® or Pleasanton Unified School District.
