Kendal Richardson recently published what can be rightly described as an autobiography. Titled Turning Pain Into Praise, the book gives readers an in-depth view of the life of the African American writer and how he was able to defy all odds, including rejection by his birth family, rape, molestation, and even incarceration to become a minister and preacher of the faith of Christ.
Born September 10, 1978, in New York, Kendal Richardson did not have the most pleasant childhood experiences. Kendal had a firsthand experience of different kinds of societal ills and was not only a victim but also became a perpetrator, as he negatively impacted the lives of others while self-destructing. While millions of people often go down this route without a U-turn or finding an escape, Kendal’s case was different and thankfully so. After years of looking for that missing void to help get his life back, Kendal Richardson found a lifeline, and God’s grace, mercy, and love prevailed over him. Kendal has put this interesting and inspiring journey into writing in the recently published Turning Pain Into Praise.
The title of the book literally gives out the message as Kendal Richardson details how his life was turned around after years of pain and suffering. Kendal, who currently runs a ministry also talked about The Grapevine HIV/AIDS Organization, a nonprofit he established to educate youth, parents, pastors, and community members concerning HIV/AIDS. Kendal Richardson’s works have transcended faith and religion, with his impact felt in different communities across Texas and around the world.
