Martin Group Sponsors Students For “Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Space Research Payload Cubes Challenge 2021”

Education is the backbone for the development of any nation. The development of this sector is crucial since, by the education of a child, we are not only giving a bright future for the child but also contribute to the overall improvement of the country.

In India, the schools run by the Government occupy the majority of the percentage. But the government schools over the years have become the only hope for underprivileged students.

As part of continued efforts to include and improve the quality of teaching and learning outcomes, Martin Foundation in association with APJ Abdul Kalam Foundation, and Space Zone India successfully launched 100 FEMTO Satellites developed by 1200 brilliant students.

As a part of this mission, Martin Lottery Agencies sponsored more than 800 government school students across India who got aware of the nuances of Satellite technology. Before the actual launch, virtual sessions along with hands-on training workshops were conducted in various parts of Southern India including Chennai, Coimbatore, Rameswaram, Tirupattur, Pune, Nagpur, etc., for around 6 days in order to train students to make satellites on their own.

The brilliant students not only made this event a grand success, but also made this event create 9 World Records including 1 Guinness World Record, 1 India Book of Records, 1 Asia Book of Records, 1 World Book of Records, and 5 Assist World Records.

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, Honorable Governor of Telangana graced this occasion as the Chief Guest.

Many distinguished personalities joined and made this event a huge success including Dr. Satheesh Reddy Secretary Department of Defence R & D, Chairman, DRDO, Padma Shri Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai, Former Director, ISRO Satellite Centre (ISAC), Shri. Rajarajan, Director Satish Dhawan Centre SHAR, Sriharikota.

Rtn. AKS. Dr. Leema Rose Martin, the Managing Trustee, Martin Charitable Trust, addressed the gathering on behalf of Martin Group at Rameswaram.
