A unique recruitment company has revealed it is now looking for people wanting flexible part time jobs in Houston.

Upshift is a brand new tool that allows people to find flexible, hourly work that fit in with their personal circumstances and commitments, and it has now launched in Houston.

The App allows people to choose from a host of different roles, get training, network and get paid on a weekly basis.

Houston Market Manager Robert Williams from Upshift said: “If someone is looking to earn some extra money alongside what they are doing, or get a new part-time or full-time job in Houston, then they can find it all using Upshift.

“It is an easy system to use, but we do have a rigorous selection process to make sure we have good quality workers available for the companies who use us to look for new members of staff.

“Firstly we ask people to apply online and fill in a personality assessment. If they pass that stage then we will invite them to a face to face ‘onboarding’ session.

“Once everyone is up to speed on how we work as a company, how the system works and how they can apply for work, then they are ready to start applying for shifts. On the system they will be able to see the shifts available, the companies who are recruiting and details on the shifts they would be working. All they have to do is apply for the shift and when the employer accepts them, the shift is theirs.

“One thing our Upshifters love about this way of working is that they get paid directly into the bank account or their cash card every Friday for the previous week,” he added.

Jobs available in the Houston area include hotels and food service roles like servers, kitchen staff, cooks, bartenders and dish washers. There are positions in catering and events, including kitchen staff, banquet servers, bartenders, dishwashers and housekeeping. In the warehouse and manufacturing industry we have roles for pickers, packers, equipment operators, janitorial positions and customer service. Then there are administrative positions like customer service, data entry and clerical.
