Filmmakers Timothy Hines, Susan Goforth and Dominick Martini hope to please Ezio Greggio and Jurors at the 18th Annual Monte-Carlo Comedy Film Festival with Timothy Hines’ “Tomorrow’s Today,” a gorgeously-shot comedy of the heart about two grifter friends colliding in their quests for betterment in their culturally rich neighborhood of Astoria, Queens, New York.
Filmmakers hope to draw the attention of Ezio Greggio and Jurors at the 18th Annual Monte-Carlo Comedy Film Festival with Timothy Hines’ “Tomorrow’s Today,” a gorgeously-shot comedy about two grifter friends colliding in their quests for betterment in their culturally-rich neighborhood of Astoria, NY. Special performances by superstar Kelly Le Brock and Academy Award nominee Burt Young, “Tomorrow’s Today” has submitted to the Monte-Carlo Film Festival in hopes of winning Best Film or Director.

Timothy Hines’ “Tomorrow’s Today” has submitted to compete in the 18th Annual Monte-Carlo Comedy Film Festival in hopes of screening in competition. The Monte-Carlo Comedy Film Festival, directed by and hosted by Ezio Greggio, will be held May 31st-June 5th, 2021 at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.

Timothy Hines, director, photographer and editor of “Tomorrow’s Today”, is an American film director, writer, editor and cinematographer best known for bringing world attention to journalist Nellie Bly with his adaptation of Nellie Bly’s autobiographical book “10 Day In A Madhouse,” which was one of Variety’s Top Trending movies when premiering at Cannes and was selected by movie star Geena Davis to be the opening night movie for the inaugural Bentonville Film Festival Celebrating Women and Diversity.

Hines and his creative partner producer Susan Goforth are also world famous for “War of the Worlds The True Story”; the most beloved, best-selling and accurate movie version of H. G. Wells’ seminal alien invasion novel.

The Monte-Carlo Comedy Film Festival is marvelously led by its Founder and President, famous Italian comedian, actor, writer and film director Ezio Greggio. “I have high-hopes that Tomorrow’s Today will impress Mr. Greggio and the jurors,” said producer Susan Goforth. “Ezio Greggio is a legend of laughter, I mean you can’t help but light up at the mention of Mr. Greggio, and he and I share the same April 7th birthdate! Ezio Greggio, a freelance journalist for 40 years, has reaped success both on TV and in the cinema. Greggio has conducted over 4,000 episodes of satirical news programs. He has been part of over forty films between cinema and television films, directed by the most important directors of Italian and international comedy, such as Carlo Vanzina, Castellano and Pipolo, Neri Parenti, Enrico Oldoini, Pupi Avati, Mel Brooks, Allan Goldstein and Nick Hamm. In 2020 Greggio returned to the cinema as one of the protagonists of “Lockdown all’Italiana” for Enrico Vanzina’s directorial debut. Greggio gets great acclaim and excellent reviews for his ability to move from the joke to moments in which he recites some touching monologues that have earned him combinations with great Italian actors of the past.

Italian actor and screenwriter Raoul Bova will be President of the Jury of the 18th edition of the Monte-Carlo Film Festival, which will be held from the 31st of May to the 5th of June. Bova’s European film breakthrough was in the 1993 film Piccolo grande amore, and his American film credits include Under the Tuscan Sun (2003), Alien vs. Predator (2004) and The Tourist (2010). In 2009 he won Nastro d’argento for “15 seconds”.

The 18th Monte-Carlo Comedy Film Festival, created and directed by Ezio Greggio, will take place from Monday 31 May to Saturday 5 June 2021, Grimaldi Forum Monaco with a rich program of events that include the projection of all movies in competition. The award ceremony will be held at the Salle Prince Pierre with numerous international guests, shows and exhibitions by famous artists and awards dedicated to the great protagonists of international comedy and cinema.

New Yorker, now Los Angeles-based standup comic actress Joanne Scorcia stars as Arianna, a tough, single mom who’s son’s friendship with Charlie Boy entangles them with Charlie’s band of misfit friends, endangering their lives.

Tomorrow’s Today is about a hopeless grifter Charlie Boy trying to reform his ways who collides with a loser named Tommy G who thinks he’s a dead ringer for Tom Hardy. They rob a liquor store to pay a gambling debt to a mob boss, only to find out the store is owned by the mobster. This Godfather, Shrek, Sopranos, Pulp Fiction-in-one comedy deals with today’s most pressing topics.

“Tomorrow’s Today” was completed March 5th, 2021, had a Preview screening April 3rd as part of the International Day of Comedy celebration in Hollywood, California. Then the film was invited to and was a Finalist alongside the Oliver Stone cherished “EST” movie at the Fourth Dimension Independent Film Festival in beautiful Bali. The filmmakers hope the Monte-Carlo Comedy Film Festival will be the films International Premiere.

Tomorrow’s Today is directed and edited by Timothy Hines. Hines is the visionary director who brought world attention to journalist Nellie Bly with his film, “10 Days In A Madhouse”. Hines, along with his creative producer partner Susan Goforth also came to world fame with their faithful adaptation of H. G. Wells’ “War of the Worlds The True Story,” a docudrama telling of the last living survivor of the Earth/Mars War of 1900, a film lauded the world over as the best adaptation of War of the Worlds ever created. Tomorrow’s Today is executive produced by Dominick Martini (Brawler, Rich Boy, Rich Girl”).
