Every human being has more to their breath, energy, desire, dreams and goals. More important than just living and aspiring, is meaning and significance. But, as the old age existential question goes, what’s the meaning of life, and how can one make theirs worth living?

In his new book, Die Empty, a young Malawian entrepreneur, Misheck Chapasuka, invites his readers to demystify the meaning of life through a simple and practical question: “If you were about to die today, what would be your regrets, and what would you have accomplished on earth to present before your Creator?”

Chapasuka’s unique fingerprints in sculpting reality through words has charmed prominent African figures like Professor PLO Lumumba, whose foreword to the book partly reads: “Combining his role as an evangelist, an innovator and entrepreneur, Chapasuka exhorts the readers to search in the inner recesses of the heart and mind to discover his or her purpose for life.”

The icon of change and Pan-Africanist further indorses the book by writing: “The unspoken message and sub text of this thesis is that many walk through the journey of life like somnambulists who know not what surrounds them. Chapasuka also reminds us of the Shakespearean aphorism: ‘There is a tide in the affairs of men, which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune. Omitted, all the voyage of their life is bound in shallows and miseries. On such a full sea are we now afloat. And we must take the current when it serves, or lose our ventures.”

The call in Chapasuka’s book is as clear as the sky on sunny day; the pursuit of excellence and selfless service are a virtue. A human being has to find his or her purpose to execute satisfactorily before taking the last breath.

The author is a living epistle of his own letters. Through the vast experience ranging from evangelism, innovation and entrepreneurship, he founded and currently leads two companies, namely, Arch Housing Developers and Link Finance. Through these companies, Chapasuka has created dozens of job opportunities for the youth in Malawi.

Misheck Chapasuka, as described by PLO Lumumba, represents the fresh African blood whose courage and celerity of mind can’t be gainsaid. The book, published in Malawi by Skillsway Books, is in shelves on the local market and online on Amazon.
