Dr. Yan award-winning Cardiothoracic Surgery specialist, is a highly skilled cardiac surgeon who has made it his mission to educate women on fibroids. Dr. Yan Katsnelson is the first U.S surgeon to perform a double valve replacement using a Bicocor tissue valve. His professional experience and love for his patients led him to develop a comprehensive healthcare management platform to help each patient’s experience, making sure that before, during and after the appointment will be seamless every visit.

Leading him found USA Vein Clinics in 2005 along with Co Founder Dr. Flora Katsnelson. While being CEO, Dr. Yan Katsnelson has since grown to over 168 locations being one of the largest networks of vein treatment centers in the United States. These clinics are known for treating patients for various venous diseases and symptoms while being in a comfortable outpatient setting.

Dr. Yan Katsnelson is an active participant in various organizations including being the founder of Fibroid Fighters Foundation. The non-profit’s goal is to unite community, religious, and political leaders, recognizing the significant health disparities that impact women and provide insight from patients’ perspectives. Working closely with celebrity ambassadors such as Love & Hip Hop star Shay Johnson, Former Real House Wife Cynthia Bailey, Celebrity Makeup Artist Kym Lee-King, and Actress Erica Taylor, to create more than just a foundation, but a voice to reach women across the nation educating them on the fibroid disease, symptoms, and treatments. The Foundation hosts free events in major cities including New York City, Atlanta, Miami and DC that elicit positive responses from communities across the world.

Dr. Yan Katsnelson has established himself as a strong advocate for accessibility, affordability, and compassion in the delivery of healthcare services. His ability to lead has allowed him to be honored and awarded for Ural Medical Academy, Russia (1990), American Heart Saver, American Heart Association Award (2002) and Nation’s Double Implant of New Tissue Heart Valve in 2005. Dr. Katsnelson continues to strive for achievement in every endeavor by changing lives one patient at a time.
